Sean is currently an adjunct professor of search engines and social networks at MSU and has been involved with internet marketing for over 10 years. In 2007 he founded the search marketing industry's only peer-reviewed search marketing research journal, SEMJ.org, whose subscribers include companies like eBay and Overstock.com. Editors include well-known search marketing experts from around the world. He is president and director of search marketing at Future Farm, Inc. where he works for large and small businesses in the areas of SEO, PPC, Analytics, Affiliate Marketing, and Social Media. He also works on PPC, SEO, and Social Media consulting for multi-million dollar companies like KidRobot.com.
Sean received his bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1993 and his master's in electrical engineering from Washington State University in 1998. He is a frequent speaker at search marketing conferences in the U.S. He also writes frequently on the subject of search marketing and blogs on technical issues at www.seangolliher.com. He co-authored a paper entitled "Understanding Social News" with the co-founder of Reddit.com. He has appeared and been interviewed on well-known blogs and radio stations such as Clickz.com, Webmasterradio.com, and SEM Synergy. He was featured in a radio interview on SEM synergy with representatives from eBay discussing the future of affiliate marketing. To maintain a competitive edge for his clients he reads search patents, papers, and attends search marketing conferences on a regular basis.
